Indonesia is an archipelago with over 18,000 islands. Its wide variety of natural landscapes is nothing short of spectacular. The islands are home to no less than 167 active volcanoes, more than any other country in the world. Its fauna and aquatic flora offer beautiful beaches along its coast, and the diving options are practically endless.

Indonesia has vast tracts of tropical forests that are home to an incredibly diverse range of wildlife including an extraordinarily wide range of bird species, orangutans, and other primates. As well, this includes some endangered species such as rhinoceros and tigers. Komodo Island is home to the remarkable prehistoric "Komodo dragon."  Lorentz National Park in remote Papua, near the very eastern edge of Indonesia, is the largest national park in Southeast Asia that hosts a permanent glacier.
